All data that is held by Meadowsweet Wellbeing is purely as a record to ensure that a safe treatment is carried out. This is usually done in the form of a remote booking service on ‘Fresha’ when you book a body massage treatment or Reiki session. Some of the forms will ask for GP details along with basic details such as your name, address, contact number etc. It will also ask lifestyle and health questions such as alcohol intake, exercise, pregnancy etc. Whilst for some this may seem intrusive it is there purely to help me have a clearer understanding of your health and wellbeing and how massage or Reiki may help. GP information is there incase there is a contra-indication to your treatment going ahead such as cancer or pregnancy but they are never contacted without your permission and a full discussion about what the next steps in your health and wellbeing could be with a signed disclaimer to say that you are aware why your GP may need to be contacted and a copy of the letter approved by you before it is sent.

On the forms I sometimes ask if you wish to receive marketing. If this is not highlighted then I will not contact you about new treatments. discounts or wellbeing advice or products that align with my business. However I do send a follow up after care email to ensure you feel okay, as well as to ask for a review. I am sure you can appreciate how vital reviews and feedback are to my growing business and for which I am always grateful to those who take the time to leave one or feedback to me.

Newsletters- I have a sign up via Squarespace for newsletters or through Mailchimp. When you sign up you agree for me to contact you about about being the first to know about new treatments, with exclusive discounts, wellbeing advice or products that align with my business. You are able to unsubscribe at anytime and this is easy to find on all newsletter communication.

If at anytime you do not wish for me to hold your records or notes on Fresha, you are entitled to ask me to remove all evidence of your forms and any details that I may hold about you.
