First Degree -Course Overview

My aim is to host a warm inclusive environment for each of you attending. With consciously small groups to maximise the teachings, attunements & practical elements that you’ll recieve from me. I will show and guide you in how to use Reiki energy on yourself, your family & your friends. We’ll cover a brief history of Mikao Usui and his foundation teachings. The symbols and how they became and what their use is when giving Reiki.

Prior to the day you’ll receive a small manual either online or physical which will cover more in depth knowledge and information. This allows you to study and become more familiar with what Reiki is before you attend the actual day.

We’ll enjoy short audio guided meditations with frequent breaks.

  • Guided meditations

  • Frequent breaks & Lunch ( to explore the grounds and nourish)

  • Brief overview of the history of Reiki

  • Symbols and meanings

  • Practice elements and energy hand placements on each other

  • Receive attunements from me to enhance your practice at home.

Upon the completion of the first degree course you’ll also receive a beautiful certificate with beautiful Kanji symbols and meaning.

There will be an ongoing pathway open to attend my Reiki Second Degree course which would allow you to achieve practitioner status to receive paying clients.

Location & Venues

These are all tentative and quite loose at the moment as I am still exploring hire costs.

[Reading room] at ‘The Abbey’ Sutton Courtenay

The Retreat Space Barn - West Hagbourne

Both have ample parking and easy access from most villages and towns and city.

They all have on site facilities to ensure you are comfortable throughout the duration of the day.

Food & Refreshments

I’m looking into what could be provided at both spaces. Initially my thought are… with so many rich and varied dietary needs including vegan, gluten & dairy free. Your lunch is probably best provided by yourself when attending [plus it helps to keep the course cost lower] However I would like to offer you a selection of herbal teas, with local honey as a sweetener and some cake/flapjack bars to cater for those energy slumps throughout the day. When expressing an interest it would help me to know if you have a specific dietary requirement or nut allergy.
